What is a "use case"?

Use cases are built to refine a set of requirements based on a role or task. Instead of the traditional list of requirements that may not directly address the use of the solution, use cases group common requirements based on the type of role or goal. Use cases define what the users or roles will be doing in the solution, a business process defines how they will perform those functions.

Following are a basic list of use cases for Data Science and Business Analytics:

  • Drive Innovation with Analytics:  With more data from more sources than ever before, clients can be better informed and to make business processes and apps smarter.
  • Increase Operational Efficiency:  Have the right data and tools, coupled with the right performance measures, and access to the right people at the right time, can drive dramatic and sustained improvements in productivity.
